Fifteen years of Groundbreaking Cinema including the Leo Award winning short ALCHEMY and OTHER IMPERFECTIONS.
Writer-Director Zachary Rothman was born in Winnipeg. He studied history at the University of Manitoba, filmmaking at the Winnipeg Film Group, and socialism (and subsequently tapeworm) at the University of Havana, Cuba.
His films encompass a broad range: from sci-fi (ALCHEMY), horror (LOST), and fantasy (ELECTRIC MESSIAH), to experimental (13 ORPHANS), comedy (MY OWN PARTRIDGE FAMILY) and dance (SHIFTING GROUND).
Rothman's uniquely dark and comic vision has been recognized and awarded at film festivals worldwide.
When he isn't writing or filming something, Zac wishes to be found in a canoe.
